ExperienceI have worked as an interpreter and translator for a number of Australian diplomatic missions, including missions in the middle east, foreign diplomatic missions in Australia and the United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) in Geneva, Switzerland.
I have over 15 years experience teaching Arabic to diplomats, defence and police personnel, academics, tourists and children. Currently, my students include staff from the Department of Defence, Australian Federal Police (AFP), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Australian National University (ANU). My teaching covers basic spoken and written Arabic suitable for general conversation or tourism, to advanced spoken and written Arabic for those looking to work overseas with humanitarian organisations or NGOs.
In addition, I provide Arabic language support to children looking to improve their Arabic native language skills or children studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) program who have selected Arabic as their mandatory language.

Rima Morgan
I am an Australian citizen of middle east background. I speak fluent Arabic, English and basic French. I am available to teach Arabic language at all levels. I explain the material clearly and always try to make lessons as interesting as possible. I pace each lesson according to the student's comprehension level and needs. I encourage student participation to help stimulate and challenge their thinking. Most students make significant progress after five lessons, although regular homework and revision will improve their level further.
Lesson schedules are planned with learners according to their learning needs, work and other commitments. After-hours or weekend lessons are available.
Current Employment Since April 2018 I have been working as a Bilingual Support Worker with the Australian Red Cross, Huamnintarian Settlement Program. Previous Employment: 2017-2018 Arabic language tutor at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), teaching language at DFAT's Diplomacy Academy. 2014-2017 Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia, Australia. 1998-2013 Other work experience at diplomatic missions in Canberra and overseas.
